About Me

Angela Manzer, E-RYT, YACEP

Yoga & Meditation Guide | Sound & Energy Practitioner

Vancouver Island, BC

Hi, I’m Angela

The Rest Alchemist

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a yoga and meditation teacher specializing in Yin Yoga, breath-led movement, and rest-based practices. I offer gentle, accessible spaces — both online and in person — for people who want to slow down, regulate their nervous system, and reconnect with their body in a supportive way.

My work is rooted in simplicity, presence, and consistency. I believe yoga doesn’t need to be forceful or performative to be effective. Sometimes the most meaningful change happens when we soften, listen, and allow ourselves to rest.

My Story

For many years, I lived in a constant state of doing — pushing through stress, overriding my body’s signals, and treating rest as something to earn. Over time, that way of living led to burnout, chronic tension, and disconnection from my own needs.

My healing journey began with a desire to feel better in my body, but it gradually became something deeper: a shift toward listening rather than fixing, and supporting my nervous system instead of constantly challenging it.

Through Yin Yoga, meditation, breath awareness, and sound-supported practices, I found a steadier, more sustainable way to care for myself. These practices didn’t ask me to become someone new — they helped me return to myself.

That’s the approach I now share with others.

My Approach

I teach yoga and meditation in a way that is calm, grounded, and adaptable.

My classes emphasize:

Yin Yoga and slow, floor-based movement

Breath awareness and nervous system support

Spacious pacing and simple structure

Choice, comfort, and accessibility

You won’t find fast transitions or pressure to perform here. Instead, my classes are designed to help you feel steady, supported, and at ease — whether you’re practicing live or returning to a replay in your own time.

Virtual Yin & Rest Studio

The Virtual Yin & Rest Studio is my online home for Gentle Yoga and rest-focused practices.

This studio offers live, 60-minute classes throughout the week, all taught by me, with replay access included. Classes are floor-based, unhurried, and suitable for all levels.

The studio is designed to support consistency without pressure. You’re welcome to practice live, use the replays, or simply return when it feels right.

Where I Am

I live in a cozy RV by the ocean in Qualicum Beach, BC. Alongside my partner Leigh, we create ritual spaces for others to slow down and heal. Leigh brings his own intuitive gifts through sacred geometry art and tarot readings, which complement our shared vision of soul-centered living.

What I Believe

I believe that:

Healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported

The body holds innate wisdom—we just need to listen

Rest is a sacred practice and a revolutionary act

Ritual and rhythm restore what hustle and pressure deplete

You already have everything you need within you

Angela is also a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, and her teachings are deeply informed by a holistic understanding of nourishment, rest, and lifestyle.

Let’s Practice Together

If you’re craving space to slow down, reconnect, or support your ongoing practice, you’re welcome here. Whether through a live class, an online session, or an in-person experience, I’d be honoured to practice with you.
