Akhanda Rest is a 90-minute integrated yoga practice rooted in the Akhanda Yoga tradition, weaving together prāṇāyāma, slow-held āsana, and Yoga Nidra into one continuous and intentional experience.
Rather than approaching rest as a separate or isolated practice, this offering follows the classical Akhanda method of preparing the breath and body first, creating the conditions for rest to unfold naturally and sustainably. The practice moves at an unhurried pace, allowing time and space for awareness, release, and grounding.
Prāṇāyāma supports breath awareness and nervous system balance. Āsana is practiced slowly and deliberately, with postures held for longer periods to remove physical obstacles to rest and cultivate steadiness in the body. The practice concludes with an extended Yoga Nidra, offering a guided experience of conscious rest and integration.
This workshop is suitable for students seeking a calm, grounded approach to rest and renewal. No prior experience with Yoga Nidra or Akhanda Yoga is required.
Rooted in the teachings of Yoga Rishi Vishvketu, this offering reflects a traditional, respectful approach to deep rest as a living practice.
