Honouring the Season You’re In

Angela Manzer | JUN 21

Today marks the summer solstice.

The longest day of the year.

A turning point.

A pause between what has been and what is still unfolding.

For thousands of years, people have gathered to honour this moment.

Not because it changes everything overnight, but because it invites us to notice.

To pay attention.

To recognize that life moves in cycles.

Nature understands this.

There are seasons of growth.

Seasons of rest.

Seasons of blooming.

Seasons of letting go.

The sun reaches its peak today, yet from this point forward, the days will gradually begin to shorten.

Even at its fullest expression, nature is already preparing for change.

There is wisdom in that.

We often believe we should always be growing.

Always producing.

Always moving forward.

But life is not linear.

It is cyclical.

Just like the tides.

Just like the moon.

Just like the seasons.

Perhaps the invitation of the solstice is not to do more.

Perhaps it is simply to notice where you are.

What is blooming in your life right now?

What feels ready to be celebrated?

What are you being asked to release?

What season are you truly in?

Not the season on the calendar.

The season within you.

Maybe this is a season of expansion.

Maybe it is a season of healing.

Maybe it is a season of rest.

Maybe it is a season of becoming.

Whatever season you find yourself in, trust that it belongs.

Nature does not rush the changing of the seasons.

The forest does not apologize for winter.

The ocean does not resist the tide.

Everything unfolds in its own time.

You are allowed to do the same.

Today, step outside if you can.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.

Watch the way the light moves across the water.

Listen to the birds.

Notice what is alive around you.

Then turn your attention inward.

What is alive within you?

The answers do not need to be clear.

The invitation is simply to listen.

To honour the season you are in.

With love,

Angela
